- Also this day in history, The Monitor fought the Merrimac. Which reminds me of the time in grade school when we were asked to do a project combining two of our favorite things to read about… mine were The Civil War and Science Fiction and I explained various events from 1861-1865 via Extraterrestial Intervention (you shoulda seen THAT diorama)
- Bruce Haley’s The Tao of War Photography. Need I say more? (via Reverse Cowgirl)
- When I see a headline containing the phrase “Kangaroo Jackie Chan” I’m hoping it involves some sort of kung fu master who was bit by a radioactive kangaroo. No such luck this time.
- A new favorite website for me and others into radicalism, visuals, history, and archives…
- Again I find myself wishing I was in San Francisco.
- Bloomberg made this mess of Coney Island, and he damn well better fucking fix it, even if it involves the hated “emminent domain.”
- And a nation cried out, “THIS IS BOLLOCKS!”
- There’s been a lot of talk resurrected lately about what a motion comic is or should be or can be, particularly w/ the Watchmen “motion comics” that were part of the marketing onslaught. I don’t think anyone really has a remote clue as to what a “motion comic” can be or what digital comics are really capable of…. EXCEPT THIS GUY.
Aaaaand that’s all for today, folks. Publishing early because I’m off to see that new comic book movie that I’m obligated to see. It’s in my Nerd Contract. Damned fine print gets you every time.
